Whether you knew it when you joined or not.... SOCIAL MEDIA is a HUGE blessing in our business. I mean, many have built a solid 7 figure business through FB ALONE. My entire business is from FB!!!

.

But taking pictures of my ShakeO bag and the tv screen of my workout alone or STOCK IMAGES won't help people CONNECT to you!! SORRY!! We all have done it..but try to show YOU!! What makes you unique?? That's what people connect with!

.

I soon realized people wanted to see my personality. The wanted to see my life. My triumphs, my struggles, my fun, my fashion, my family, my food and they wanted to see it with MY PERSONALITY. 

I talk with my style, with my slang and my outlook on things. I learned long ago, people like ME because I'm me, not me trying to be someone else.

.

People buy into YOU....LOOOONNNGGG before your product.

.

It’s so easy to get ’sucked in’ to social media and only want to put your best foot forward. And don’t get me wrong, leading a life and sharing a life that inspires others is AWESOME and what we are all aiming to do. But sunshine and butterflies ALL THE TIME isn’t REAL. I still struggle with this but showing VULNERABILITY at times is often the MOST INSPIRING!!!

I try to add in little STORIES about things in my life when I post...triumphs, overcoming past failures, lessons learned since coaching, etc! .

This allows people to see where you came from and that you weren't always as put together and into fitness as you may be after your transformation!

The message You'll start to get MOST OFTEN is::: THANK YOU for sharing your struggles, for not always being or looking perfect. Thank you for your inspiration and just being YOU.

Remember, perfect is nice to look at, but it’s hardly relatable. And you want people to relate to you. To see something in YOU that they connect with.

.

Get a lil fun, get a lil creative, get silly, funny, deep: sometimes. Make your FB your REALITY SHOW. Your DRAMA-FREE reality show!!!!!

.

Anytime I am crafting a post or a pic to post, I think about a SCROLL-STOPPER. What kind of picture is going to CATCH the EYE of my niche market (Or ANYONE for that matter) and have them stop mid-scroll to check it out? Fun, colorful pics seem to do the job.

.

*Note, I don't always make sure I look perfect. I show messy hair and an un-make-upped face! ---Definitely scary at first...but it's real!

And people LOVE that. But I make sure the picture is clear and eye-catching, and adds value in some way whether it be a tip, a chuckle, or business, family, fitness inspiration. MAKE PEOPLE FEEL SOMETHING!

So make a vow and PROMISE to me RIGHT NOW... No salesy, gimmicky posts. (except if a new product comes out mayyyybbee). 

If you are talking about a product, show a picture of YOU using it (i.e. drinking ShakeO, or working out (people love seeing workout moves). Or if you are advertising a challenge group, show a transformation pic or YOU!

Your own progress pic would be awesome, one of a current challenger or fellow coach would be great also.....strangers are last option.

To build a business on social media takes work. A lil skill and dedication, but mainly YOU being your authentic and awesome self.

Remember, adding TEXT to a photo is a GREAT way to catch an eye. On a computer, you can use Picmonkey.com. On a smart phone: Photofy App, pic collage, word swag, etc.

She added text to grab attention and wrote text that was VULNERABLE, silly, helpful, intentional, invitational, and inspirational.
